The outcome of the story, however, usually emphasizes a purity of spirit and polite manners. Baba Yaga can also be a source of guidance when approached correctly. When Baba Yaga is approached without good preparation, sincerity, and due respect, she is dangerous. When too many questions (or the wrong questions) are asked, she is also dangerous. Carter Godwin Woodson
Carter Godwin Woodson (December 19, 1875 - April 3, 1950) was an American historian, author, journalist, and the founder of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. Woodson has been called the "father of black history," whose work not only established the contribution of African-Americans as significant in the history of America and beyond, but also inspired many others to continue his work. Woodson is also notable for launching the celebration of "Negro History Week," the precursor of Black History Month.
