There is a striking similarity to wikipedia, and you have ads too, is this an independently run website? or is wiki data extracted here? I don’t mean to accuse, but this is kinda lame if so.

Thank you, Gowtham, for taking the time to comment.

New World Encyclopedia is a wiki-based encyclopedia which contains selected articles from Wikipedia as well as a number of original articles. As a “Wikipedia fork,” in keeping with the terms of the CC-by-sa license, each article imported from Wikipedia is documented, rigorously cited, and hyperlinked to the Wikipedia article so that a complete history of its construction remains available.

At the end of each article there is a “Credits” section which explains that NWE writers and editors rewrote and completed the Wikipedia article in accordance with NWE standards, or notes that it is an original article. The names of those NWE writers and editors who contributed to a particular article can be found by clicking on the “Menu” tab at the top of that article and choosing “Page history.”

Many of the articles selected from Wikipedia have subsequently been updated; others remain essentially unchanged. In some cases the New World Encyclopedia articles were substantially and significantly modified, including the addition of different material and/or the deletion of some content; other articles were changed to a lesser degree. Thus, some NWE articles bear little resemblance to the Wikipedia article on the same topic while others are substantially the same.
