You refer to a ‘rotary plow’ then add ‘rotary plough in British English’.

Plough is English. Plow is American.

Your statement that “plough is English, Plow is American” is problematic, however. “American” is not a language, or spelling of a language but “English” is a language. The term “American English” (or “United States English”) is used to describe the version of the English language used in the United States, while the term “British English” is used to describe the form of the English language used in the United Kingdom.

Since NWE uses United States English spelling it is appropriate to note “plough in British English” to differentiate this spelling from that used as standard in NWE.
