It is to bad you missed reading “Joseph Smith III and the Restoration” which is Joseph Smith III’s own life story.
Joseph III spent his life looking for proof of his father’s “failings” regarding pologomy. He never found any evidence that Joseph Smith Jr had more then one wife. Joseph Smith Jr wrote in the church paper “Times and Season” against the new doctrine coming out. He was very much against pologmy. It is a shame that everyone believes the Utah Mormons and the suppose “revelation” that Joseph received. That is why in later years there was the RLDS church as well as the LDS. Just FYI
