Cnut’s first wife is variously named in this article as Aelgifu and Aelfgifu. In other similar articles I have read she is name Aelfgifu. I believe Aethelred’s first wife was also name Aelfgifu which was translated as ‘Elf gift’. I think the article should be consistent.
