Your map of https://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/File:Colonization_of_the_Americas_1750.PNG
on page https://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/European_Colonization_of_the_Americas
incorrectly shows the Spanish Louisiana territories as belonging to France in 1750 and includes it as part of France’s French Canadian territories. France only briefly held the Louisiana territory briefly after Napoleon conquered Spain during the Peninsular War (1807–1814). About 60% of the western portion of the blue should be green. Also, the British territory within what is show in the US portion of that diagram is also incorrect. It should be about twice as wide. Finally the gray or uncontested territory slices down into Spanish Alta California and Nuevo Mexico. It should only be slightly larger than today’s states of Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, Tom, for your feedback. That map has been replaced. Hopefully the new one is more accurate!
