FYI, the 1991 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor wasn’t the only carbureted vehicle on the market in 1991, The 360ci (5.9L) Jeep Grand Wagoneer also had a 2 barrel motorcraft carburetor in that same year.

Dear Jeremy,

Kindly accept our apologies for the lateness of our reply.

We have added your input to the Carburetor article with a couple of observations. In the U.S. market, the last automobiles sold to the general public equipped with a carburetor were the 1990 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser and the Buick Estate Wagon. The 1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer came with a 360ci American Motor Company engine, touted as the last carbureted engine used in an American-built vehicle. The AMC 360 was offered with either two barrel or four barrel carburetors.

Thank you for your readership,
Hope to hear from you again,
