“Springsteen was well known for running the streets, petty crime, and a drug habit. Springsteen’s reputation as a troublesome youth is reflected in the Traveling Wilbury’s Tweeter and the Monkeyman lyric, “In Jersey everything’s legal, as long as you don’t get caught.”
This is a bald-faced lie.
