On the Alice Walker information page, in the writing career and success heading, under the “The Color Purple” heading there is an error. The main character’s name is Celie, but is spelled as Cecie in the summary. The evidence for this are in the book itself, on her biography on Alice Walker’s official website , and on any google of her book, “The Color Purple”.
