Your Cobb article cites Al Stump as a source. Its well documented now that he made up just about everything he said about Cobb, to the point of manufacturing events to create his own memorabilia of Cobb’s to sell off. Ken Burns then repeated these claims despite them having never been true to begin with. He never carried a bag with a million in bonds and a pistol to the hospital. He had plenty of friends and actually had to stop attending events later on in life because it became too hard on him to go to all the places where people invited him as a guest of honor. He was not seen as a dirty player or hated, rather he was admired for his determination and viewed as the greatest sportsman in the game.

Here’s a tiny sample of whats wrong with your article, read this and then delete your whole entry and try again but use reality and not Al Stumps grift as a guideline
