To be scientifically accurate, which an encyclopedia should be, shouldn’t you put “it is theorized or believed that porpoises originated from…” instead of stating it as pure fact without reference to the conjecture you are making?

Thank you. This is an astute observation. We have somewhat modified the article, in several places, to reflect more of the inquiry nature of science, versus statements of absolute fact.
