Florence is located approx. 174 miles (280 km) north of Rome.

It’s related to this article, but more broadly to the philosophy of the whole website.
In the right-side panel is written: Mayor Matteo Renzi (Democratic Party). But this info is from more than 10 years ago. If the articles are curated by a few selection of people I’d avoid writing content that has to be frequently updated (e.g. the current major of a city, like in this case).
