your article describes nuclear testing carried out on christmas island. according to one of the links provided the testing of nuclear weapons occurred on a different christmas island in the western pacific near the Solomon Islands ………….. not the Christmas island subject of your article which is in the indian ocean and has no nuclear testing history.

Thank you for your comment. You are quite correct that the island used for nuclear testing was not this Christmas Island but rather Kiritimati, also known as Christmas Island, a Pacific Ocean atoll that is part of the Republic of Kiribati. Both this article and the article on Kiribati will be revised to correct this confusion. Thank you again for your feedback which helps to make New World Encyclopedia a valuable resource.
