You have written the word “soccer” which is an american slang word and shouldn’t be part of serious website. Please change it to “football” the word can be found in this very article in the first section.

Best regards

Amy

Thank you for pointing out that mistake. The text has been changed to “football.”

1. The article states “that the sun never sets…”
However, this a well-known statement about many empires, see

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_empire_on_which_the_sun_never_sets

2. The copyright of many images is not sufficient, as the links to wikipedia (wikimedia commons) do not work. Then NWE should acknowledge the authors

Thank you, Hans, for your feedback. While it is true that “the empire on which the sun never sets” is a phrase used for several global empires, it is also true that it was used for the British empire at the time it was the foremost global power. A note can be added to the article to indicate that the phrase was previously used for the Spanish Empire, and later (without the term empire) for American power.

With regard to the copyright of images, I checked and the “source and rights” links for all the images in this article functioned correctly. There is also a credit to the Wikipedia article at the bottom of the page. If there is a particular image that has no copyright information could you please list it?

Thank you again for taking time to comment and to help make NWE a valuable information resource.
