These first nations peoples names are actually spelled “Algonquian”, with an “a” after the “i”.

Thank you for your comment. It is good to know that the New World Encyclopedia is being used!

Your point is partly correct. In fact there is a First Nations people called “Algonquin” and also a larger collection of peoples referred to as “Algonquian” with the “a” after the “i.” I have revised the Algonquin article to make the distinction clearer, and a separate article on the Alqonquian peoples should be appearing on the site very soon.
