Scott Daniel Dunbar is the Religion editor of the New World Encyclopedia.
Dunbar teaches courses on World Religions, Hinduism, and Indian Philosophy at the University of Saskatchewan and St. Peter’s College, Canada. His primary research areas include Hinduism, South Asian Religions, Religious Conflict and Interfaith Dialogue. Dunbar has university degrees in both Religious Studies and Political Science with a focus on peace and conflict from an interdisciplinary perspective. He grew up in Vancouver, B.C. and later moved to the Canadian Prairies where he has been actively involved in fostering interfaith dialogue for over a decade. In addition to teaching and writing, Dunbar embodies inter-religious principles and values through his own inter-faith marriage and scholarly activities.
