Dr. Andrew Wilson is Academic Dean and Professor of Biblical Studies at the Unification Theological Seminary, where he has taught for more than 20 years. He received his Ph.D. from Harvard University, department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations (1985). Dr. Wilson is the author and editor of more than 15 books and edited volumes including: World Scripture: An Anthology of Sacred Texts (1991) which demonstrates the common ground among the world’s religions; Cultivating Heart and Character: Educating for Life’s Most Essential Goals (2000) on moral education in the public schools; True Family Values (1996, 2003); and Exposition of the Divine Principle (1996) in its current English translation, as well as numerous articles on topics ranging from moral theology to Jewish-Christian relations.

Dr. Wilson laid the initial groundwork for New World Encyclopedia in the early 1990s and returned to the project in 2006 as a Senior Editor.
