This template is used to cite sources in Wikipedia. It is specifically for web sites which are not news sources. This template replaces deprecated template:web reference. It provides lower case parameters only.

Copyable empty example:

{{cite web|url= |title= |accessdate= |accessmonthday= |accessyear= |author= |last= |first= |authorlink= |coauthors= |date= |year= |month= |format= |work= |publisher= |pages= |language= |archiveurl= |archivedate=}}

See the talk page for documentation on how to use this template.

Comment This template contains one or more optional parameters: see the talk page for details.

This template employs some extremely complicated and esoteric features of template syntax. Please do not attempt to alter it unless you are certain that you understand the setup and are prepared to repair any consequent collateral damage if the results are unexpected. Any experiments should be conducted via the template sandbox or your user space.
