Unification Aspects: Frederick Douglass was a key figure in abolition of slavery in the United States. Despite a lifelong struggle against those who felt and acted otherwise, Frederick Douglass never gave up his determination to make all free in the "Land of the free." His motivation was centered on Holy Scripture. Throughout his entire life of suffering he believed with unwavering passion that God intended everyone to live as brothers and sisters, perfectly equal in the eyes of God.
