Talk:Fluke

From New World Encyclopedia
Unification Aspects:

Flukes are parasitic flatworms and many can infect humans. Many of the causes are preventable. For example, a common cause of infection by liver flukes in Thailand is related to eating undercooked cyprinoid’s fish (Kaewpitoon et al. 2007). Personal and social responsibility can help prevent the transmission and infection of these parasites. Good personal hygiene, proper cooking of meat and fish, better community sanitation, treatment of contaminated water resources, and awareness campaigns are all avenues toward preventing infection. The community can institute measures aimed at toilet and sewage discharge and treatment and disinfection of public swimming pools and water reservoirs, and so forth. Unification Thought emphasizes both individual and social responsibility, with individuals being careful of their actions and society taking care of its members.
