Blackberries, as with other animal pollinated flowering plants provide an easy to understand example of the harmony in the universe. The blackberry flowers provide a nectar source for bees while the bees carry out pollination, allowing the plants to produce fruit. The plants also provide a larger purpose for human beings: food and medicinal use. In essence, in fulfilling their individual purpose of reproduction (the flower and fruit), raspberry plants also provide large (whole purpose) values for ecosystemss (bees and birds and black bears that eat the fruits) and for human beings.
For humans, the value of the blackberries go beyond nutrition and medicinal purpose to helping to create joy in humans through their unique combination of taste, form, color, and texture. It reflects that creation serves not only human survival and reproduction, but also advances the inner aspect of joy.
