The United States House of Representatives is the larger of the two chambers of the United States Congress; the Senate is the smaller. Together, they comprise the national bicameral legislature of the United States. The House is charged with the passage of federal legislation, known as bills. Legislation that is also passed by the Senate is sent to the president for the President's signature which ratifies it as law, or the Presidential veto. The House meets in the south wing of the United States Capitol.

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), constitute an elite group of autonomous engineering and technology-oriented institutes of higher education established and declared as Institutes of National Importance. The Government of India created the IITs to train scientists and engineers, with the aim of developing a skilled workforce to support the economic and social development of India after independence in 1947. Indians colloquially refer to the students and alumni of IITs as IITians.
