Two_string_harp.jpg(337 × 500 pixels, file size: 103 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

This musician, a member of the Hausa ethnic group of northern Nigeria, is a master of this two-stringed "harp." As he plucks the strings, he strikes the metal slug on the body with a copper ring on his right hand. Combined with his singing, it's a most unusual combination. The body of the harp is half a calabash (a round gourd) covered in skin. Source & rights.
